Welcome to Brookview Elementary! Brookview opened in 2001 and is one of eight elementary schools in the Waukee Community School District. We are located at 8000 EP True Pkwy in the city of West Des Moines. Our school serves students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Brookview is home to approximately 650 students.

Brookview Elementary places student learning and helping each child reach their full potential as our primary focus. With our strong emphasis on meeting the needs of all students through differentiated instruction and research-based practices, the students at Brookview annually perform at high levels on state and national assessments. Our school also offers additional support services in the areas of Reading Lab, Reading Recovery, Special Education, Extended Learning and English as a Second Language.

Staff are dedicated to ongoing growth & development as they regularly collaborate in professional learning communities aimed at continuous improvement in the areas of teaching and learning. Recently, Brookview Elementary was recognized by Solution Tree as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) School.

Through consistent teaching, modeling, and practicing, Brookview students show good character by demonstrating safe, caring, respectful, and responsible behaviors. It is our philosophy that acknowledging and recognizing students when they demonstrate those core values will promote continued positive behavior.
